EVE Frontier’s next playtest is coming later this week, with a new Phase V test and some brand-new rewards.
The test was announced today for the upcoming blockchain space survival sandbox, which was previously codenamed Project Awakening. “From November 7th to 11th, journey into a universe now 2,000 times larger than previously seen. This short, intense cycle is designed to test the boundaries of stability and endurance” and if you are interested and ready to help CCP test out this intense cycle, they're still taking signups.
The announcement says that in the test, there will be fragments scattered around the stars, which include ancient wreckage and other structures with mysterious secrets to discover. This will be familiar to anyone with EVE experience in general. There’s a lot out there in space to discover and it can be very lucrative.
In teams of up to five, you can explore, find these artifacts, and discover relics hidden within ancient wreckages or in huge megastructures out in the distance. There will be three wrecks to discover, and each artifact found will reward high-tier Founders Packs.
You'll get to explore, but there will be some sense of guidance as the Keeper will release some star maps to hint at some of the locations of interest. If your team is successful at finding and matching the in-game systems, going there, once again, it could be very lucrative. There's no word yet what these founder packs might include, but the announcement does say that they are the first of their kind and there will be more info revealed via Discord soon.
