The Open Beta for NetEase and CCP's co-developed EVE Echoes is now live today. Capsuleers eager to venture into a new version of New Eden on mobile can do so on both iOS and Android devices starting today.

The jointly developed mobile MMO brings the full EVE Online experience to mobile devices, giving players who want a more on-the-go experience a way to bring out their inner F1 jockey.

Per a joint press release by the NetEase and CCP Games:

Developed by NetEase Games in conjunction with CCP Games, EVE Echoes is a brand-new sci-fi MMO game set in an alternate universe of New Eden that brings the authentic EVE Online experience to mobile devices. In addition to retaining EVE’s signature gameplay mechanics, EVE Echoes also includes basic tutorials for new players to advance and enhance their space-faring experience. The EVE Echoes Open Beta offers a more optimized feature-set for players to utilize in their adventures across the vast, deep and beautiful cosmos of New Eden.

With EVE Echoes, players can expect to see what the teams are calling "expanded game content" This means the Open Beta brings with it more advanced ships, new modules and Drones, in addition to storyline missions being added to the Encounters system. Additionally, the Open Beta will include a new player tutorial to help fledgling Capsuleers find their footing in New Eden.

Be sure to check out the EVE Online website for more. If you're looking to download the game, check out the links in the embedded Tweet below. iOS players will need to also have the TestFlight app to install the Open Beta of EVE Echoes.
