NetEase and CCP’s mobile title EVE Echoes will continue to get more content updates. The team has answered questions about the future of the game, along with a refreshed 2024-2025 roadmap.
This week, there was a new update with a number of balance adjustments, new skills (to acquire with ISK), Number of adjustments to ships, construction, missiles and modules. This was an update that was mostly concerned with fixing things and to tweak for balance. There have been some concerns that there wouldn't be more content updates, hence the release of the roadmap and FAQ to the community.
On new content updates: “We will keep on introducing new content, optimization, and bugfixes.” For the final weeks of 2024 and what's coming in 2025, we can look forward to regular balance updates and fixes, but also new character portraits, the Star Core themed Nanocore, new higher level, challenging Inquisitor Cosmic Anomalies, an Advanced Scanner, and more. Expect a Corporation League, and Alliance Control updates like rank system optimization and Standing limitation.
They're also looking at a Nanocore reset feature, partly in response to having certain implants and cores be very OP and nearly impossible to counter effectively. No exchanges are allowed for Voyage Cores, for instance, as a stopgap measure. Those who don’t have it can’t decide to exchange for it. They are promising significant changes in addition to reset features for implants and nanocores.
One of the other concerns is over entrenched control by the major Alliances through the available regions. One thing they have planned is Declaration of War, a feature targeting powerful Corporations and Alliances, with battles that can’t be fought in High-Sec or war declared against individuals. This is EVE, after all. It's not going to be friendly, but they're looking to make things a little more possible in this version of New Eden.
