The developers of Eternal Tombs have shared their 2024 progress in their latest video, showcasing gameplay, world modeling, and combat. Formerly known as War of Dragnorox, this indie title has made some strides in 2024, and the team is eager to build on that momentum as they gear up for the new year.

In a recent newsletter, Creative Director Josh Caba reflected on a year of testing and development. Over 5,000 players have explored the world of Mithir, creating more than 10,000 characters. The developers have fixed numerous bugs, revamped systems, introduced new events, and are preparing to unveil the next batch of zones for testing.

The team has committed to creating a no microtransaction, no pay-to-win MMORPG, and have even placed a disclaimer at the end of their latest video plainly stating so.

This bold direction is certainly more of an old-world way of going about monetization, but we have yet to see how it will all shake out if and when Eternal Tombs makes its way to launch. Looking ahead, the team has stated that the next testing phase will be scheduled for late February or early March 2025, featuring 10 new zones. You can request to join the alpha on their Steam Page if you'd like to help make Eternal Tombs the best game it can be.
