Eternal Tombs Announces New Zones, Playtesting to Resume in Early 2025

Eternal Tombs got a year-end update, with a brief recap of this year’s playtests and details on development ahead before tests restart in early 2025.

The game’s creative director, Josh, shared that they’ve had 5,000 players in Mithir since testing began, creating more than 10,000 characters. The independent team is pushing ahead but followingsome recent extended testingand even an expansion of the test build this fall, It will be a little while before another test opens up. They're going to work on polishing up the game and finalizing another series of zones for the test, for an even more expanded world when the tests resume. 

Triune plans to add 10 new zones “plus some secret ones” and they anticipate another test in late February or early March. So we won't hear anything from them for a couple of months but we might see an announcement sometime in February, or another update. The zones that they are revealing now are the following:

  • Plains of Uru
  • Morthstone
  • Everkeen Forest
  • Canyons of Dur
  • Wretched Hills
  • Thornmore Forest
  • Plaguespot Swamp
  • Grungal
  • Catacombs of Varendale
  • Dirkwood

“We hope that you’ll continue to jump in and dive into the world of Mithir as we continue our testing. We have many new events, zones, secrets and adventures to share with you,” the update says, and now feel free tostart guessing what you might see based on those new zone names and included screenshots.
