Now that World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic is in full swing, it’s time for the Esports side to shine a little with the Dragonslayer Challenge and the Arena Tournament. Whether you enjoy PVP or PVE more of, there's something for everyone in these two events.
Blizzard announced the event details today, along with format on the competition and schedule. Both events will be streamed live on the Warcraft Twitch and YouTube channels.
The Dragonslayer Challenge is up first, beginning on June 8th and ending on Sunday, June 9th. Broadcast will begin at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Two top speedrunning guilds, Progress and None of the Above, will get just one day to gear up some fresh characters by completing Cataclysm's dungeons and test their RNG luck on gear to prepare to take on all three of the newly-opened raids on day two.

On Sunday, each guild will present its best roster and they will compete against each other and the clock to clear all three raids- Bastion of Twilight, Throne of the Four Winds, and Blackwing Descent. The first to complete the challenge and defeat all of the bosses will take home most of a $50,000 pool.
Next weekend, the Cataclysm Arena Tournament will offer both intense PvP competition and another $50k prize pool. On June 14th, the top eight teams from Europe, and on June 15th, the top eight teams from the Americas will face off. Finally, on June 16th, the top teams from both regions will face off in the finals, with $25k to the winning team in each region. Catch all the actions starting at 10:00 a.m. PDT on each day.
