The console launch of Greymoor, the newest chapter of Elder Scrolls Online, has been delayed one day until June 10 out of respect for the funeral services of George Floyd.

The news was announced in a blog post with the team writing the following,

“We are delaying the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One launch of Greymoor out of respect for George Floyd and the service planned in Houston for June 9. We feel it would not be right for us to celebrate our launch and distract from more important events on that day.”

Maintenance is scheduled for June 9 at 10p ET. The team expects this maintenance to last for seven hours, and patch notes will be released. This delay follows delays and postponements across the industry from Blizzard postponing a World of Warcraft Shadowlands event, to Sony delaying a PS5 event, the PC Gaming Show being delayed, and more.
