The very first update, Hollow Halls has arrived to the survival-craft game Enshrouded, which brings some of the content fans have been asking for since its release.
Enshrouded has a lot of mechanics that keep the game interesting to everyone, but one of the biggest things that fans wanted was more danger, exploration, and enemies to conquer. The developers have listened to the masses and will now include a new dungeon in each of the biomes.
The Spires within the game were like a dungeon of sorts, where players would need to traverse the inside evading traps and spikes all around them to get to the next floor, but what they did not have was enemies. Finding the different “keys” needed to unlock the doors to the next rooms was a challenge, but not overly difficult and only took a few minutes to complete the Spire.
The Hollow Halls update not only brings dungeons, but new craftable items, new enemy factions, and exclusive legendary rewards to collect. There will also be a new crafting station for players to obtain with its own standalone recipes, but that isnt all. There will be a new questline to follow which brings players to what devs call a “spooky new NPC”.
From the looks of it, meaning the look of some of the craftables and the new crafting station, things appear to be taking a more deadly turn, as the skulls and green fog around things add a very eerie feeling overall.
Of course, there will also be some updates to the frame rate allowance to make for smoother gameplay, reworked towns and locations, and even round doors for those who built their homes into the side of mountains. There are plenty more things to come with the new update, and time will only tell what the next one will bring.
