The third update for Enshrouded has arrived, bringing quite a few key features, minor adjustments and improvements, and more.

The developers at Keen Games have announced yet another update, Back to the Shroud, has hit Enshrouded today with one key feature that was highly requested. The difficulty level became a bit muddy as we repeatedly made our way through the Shroud and Spires and mastered the art of war against our enemies. In the latest update, it was noted that fans of the survival-craft title wanted a little bit of both worlds which meant higher difficulty but also an easier time building and exploring.

The default difficulty level is still present but for those seeking a real challenge within the world, there is now a “Hard” preset and a “Survival” preset that is said to punish players. The Hard preset is there for those who want a rough and gritty combat experience, while the Survival mode will cause backpacks to be dropped upon death and more aggressive enemies. For those who want a more relaxing and enjoyable experience, the “Relaxed” preset reduces the overall amount of enemies and gives players more loot and resources to build with to curate the perfect cozy hobbit hole to craft in.

As for the fine-tuning and minor adjustments, late-game XP has been given an update, and we will now need more experience to level up as we climb the ranks. New skin colors, eye colors, eyebrow colors, and overall character presets have also been added to give us more customization options during initial character creation.

These are just a few of the key changes to hit Enshrouded in the latest update, but there is plenty more to enjoy, including all of the content brought from the previous update for those coming back to the title.
