Embers Adrift has a new state of the game update, this time covering a slew of big additions over the past month, including new dungeons, raids, world boss, and more new changes.
After some months of development with smaller additions, and the Stormhaven Studios team getting the long-awaited mail system up and running, May’s update brought some bigger additions. There are two new dungeons, along with five new quests to introduce them and get you started. The new dungeons are solo dungeon Osric's Rest and Dryfoot Fortress for groups.
The solo dungeon adds to the expanded offerings the team has been adding, to offer things to do whether you’re able to get a good group together or not. Osric’s Rest offers some new puzzle tech to work through, offering obstacles to work your way through.
It is Dryfoot Fortress that is the group challenge, with various mobs and factions to contend with inside, and designed as a challenge for groups who are ready to take down enemies of levels 30s-40s, including the boss, the Emerald Queen, Verdigrax, who is level 38. These additions were accompanied by the addition of a new creature, the Scarabax.
Embers Adrift also has some new raid tech to help you get things started. If you join a group and use this option you can join up to three other groups to form a raid of up to 24 players. do this and everyone can have shared loot rolling, money sharing, and you iframes of all players in the raids.
Overall, the team is continuing to fulfill a number of the entries on their roadmap. Items on the longer term priority include more zones, crafting improvements, additional new gear, and even improvements to weather tech.
