May in Embers Adrift is about to get busier and the team is showing off the big elements to look out for in next week's big update.
After the team managed to get the mail system and other elements up and running, they have returned to adding even more content to the MMORPG. This month, there are two new dungeons and new raid tech, along with a number of other additions and improvements.
One of the new dungeons is Osric’s Rest, and it is a solo dungeon. While Embers Adrift is a group and community-focused MMORPG, the team has been adding additional options in the form of soloable content to increase the amount of what’s available to do even if you don’t have a group at any particular moment. This is one of those additions as well, and we get a peek inside at some of the environments, enemies, and new dungeon mechanics.
There’s also a new group dungeon, The Dryfoot Fortress, included in the preview. The Stormhaven team has talked about adding more content like this on thor roadmaps, and now we get a peek at this one too. New armor visuals are also in play, for those who appreciate a bit of polish.

We also get a look at the Scarabax, a brand new creature in the offering that looks like a giant beetle and seems to enjoy spending time in some dryer environments. If that bug wasn't enough, there's also a brand new raid encounter, the Emerald Queen. If the Scarabax was like a giant beetle, the Emerald Queen is bigger and more royally charged.
With this update, coming May 28th, 24 player raid groups and shared raid looting are also coming.
