Embers Adrift  is holding another free to play weekend in early June, inviting all to the PvE-focused, group-oriented MMORPG inspired by the classics.

Stormhaven Studios announced the new free weekend following a series of updates to Embers Adrift that added new zones, new activities, new features, and improved a number of systems across the game. Previously, a free to play weekend caught attention and was a successful introduction for many players. Last time, in the community, people organized ways to help welcome newcomers in order to introduce them to the systems and the group oriented aspects of this independent MMORPG. We should expect similar this time around.

The free to play weekend will begin on June 2nd at 1pm EDT and run through June 4th. Everyone will be able to download the game and explore Newhaven in the game and get to know its group-based systems (but the game is also deliberately solo-friendly), and the variety of activities to do in the classic MMORPG inspired game.

Embers Adrift is designed to be an explorable adventure. There are three base classes that you can build on and customize to your liking. You will find quests organically out in the world, With some quests being more static in their solutions, and others opening up to multi-layered narrative experiences. There are nonlinear dungeons, including an outdoor dungeon,  and a whole lot of things to discover.

It’s a PvE-focused game, so don’t expect PvP outside of dice roll duels. You can use those to settle an argument, but it's the only type of player versus player competition that the game has Stormhaven is focused on the PVE aspect and continuing to build out their game.

There is more to come in the next couple of weeks as the team prepares for the next free to play weekend, and you can find out much more about the game, over at Embers Adrift.
