Embers Adrift has added several more new solo Ember Vein Loops, player inspection, and a series of quality of life updates, including more custom LFG/LFM entries, and improved bounties.

While Embers Adrift is, at its heart, a group-oriented PvE MMORPG, Stormhaven Studios has been spending time on adding some more options for those who do play solo. They began adding solo Ember Vein Loops recently, and promised more to come in their roadmap. This patch adds five more of them, in Spinner's Recluse and Derelict Sanctuary, Basilisk Run, Cragscale Caverns, and Arkhos' Lair. There’s even a new teaser trailer showing these new additions to challenge yourself with.

The update also adds the ability to inspect other players for the first time. Usable via the chat command, when you inspect someone, they get a chat note that they’re being inspected. Once initiated, the inspection popup will stay until you close it, giving you time to examine the snapshot, even if that player leaves.

For those that don’t want any nosy players checking up on what you’ve got, you can uncheck the inspection box in your Equipment UI menu to forbid it.

Also in the update are some updates to hunting to make the process more consistent. For some bounty tasks, the number of required kills has been lowered or adjusted to be less specific. This should prevent issues with uneven spawns. For a task that asked for 5 Sap Spiders killed, “At times there may be no Sap Spiders spawned, leading to some confusion. So the task has been updated to kill 3 Sap Spiders and additionally kill 12 of any spider”. similar adjustments have been made to make all of the bounty tasks more doable.

Other quality of life changes in the update include the new option to customize notes on your LFG/LFM entries in the social UI. Make things a bit more specific if you’d like. This is one new feature unavailable to free trial characters. Another addition is an icon on the lower left of items that are in need of repair, showing a piece below 80% durability. A number of other clarifications and UI changes also made the patch, along with fixes.

One thing that didn't make it in this update was the mail system, but the team says it's "95% of the way there" and we should see it in April after some final polish and security testing.
