Embers Adrift has a new update today to end the year with some quality of life updates, some adjustments and upgrades, and even some new raid bosses.

Yes, there are new raid bosses. Stormhaven continues to work on the transition to Steam, and contentwise, the upcoming zone, Grizzled Peaks II. However, this final update of the year does pack in eight new bosses. They are spread across the game starting at level 16 in the Meadowlands, level 27 and 37 bosses in Flooded Ruins and Dryfoot Fortress, and a level 47 boss in Highland Hills for those who are working on hitting cap. At level 50, there are four new bosses. The first, Arkhos, is in Grimstone Canyon, and there are three–Darkpaw, Lichen King, and Mammoth–in Grizzled Peaks.

The update also includes additional leveling adjustments. Character health gain per level  has been adjusted, with other numbers like NPC health, consumables, and health regeneration, also getting tweaked. Mobs and downtime should feel similar, but in the case of mid-tier characters taking on content of a significantly higher or lower level should work out a bit differently.

This is in response to one bit of feedback, and they're also adjusting progression  in a couple of other ways. The community asked for adjustments to health between defenders and non-defenders, to give more ability and incentive for people to tank.  That is in this update, in addition to a wider gap between defender specializations, with trade offs and build decisions to be made. An example cited is the Juggernaut having lots of extra health as a reasonable difference for having reduced armor compared to a Knight.

Stormhaven has also added a few improvements for teleportation. You'll be able to selectively use your travel essence and it will show you how much you're using to get to a particular point in the new teleportation confirmation prompt. There are also a new way to teleport to a group in a dungeon via Ley Link. Within a dungeon, Ember Rings get a Ley Link and a new visual to accompany them. There’s a new icon next to player names when near a Ley Link too. You can use the new link to teleport from a Monolith under certain conditions. as long as two of your group members are near the target and meet the requirements, you'll be able to organize into your groups faster.

There's even additional inventory rows in adventuring and gathering bags. Details on the full update and the slate of improvements in the patch notes.
