Ember Sword’s latest development update reveals that the team is skipping its second beta test and moving the upcoming blockchain based MMO sandbox straight into Early Access, though no official date was given for when that might occur, though.
Players who are Badge holders, Landowners, or Origins Collection Chest owners will be given priority access to Early Access. Those worried about missing out on major events or competitions if they don’t qualify should rest assured as the Ember Sword team doesn’t intend to kick any of those off until everyone can have access to the game.
A new starter weapon will be available to players when they begin early access. Players can look forward to beginning their adventures with a Bone Sword and Shield, though they are sure to quickly gain access to better equipment as they progress through the game.
The team has also announced that sixteen different types of weapon skins will be available in the Early Access launch window, though these will be slowly rolled out and into the game to keep players checking back in for new goodies.
