Ember Sword: Prologue is coming on July 12th, allowing a smaller build of Ember Sword in Early Access for those who want to get in more regularly while the larger game is under development.
Bright Star Studios announced the move in the latest game update devblog. The decision to launch this prologue version is a small-scale test that will be available for larger periods of time, although as an indevelopment game, there will be some down time along the way.
There are a few ways to qualify to be invited into this first round. Only have to meet one of the criteria for consideration. The first is to own land in Ember Sword. Next, you can hold $EMBER badges, have at least 5,000 EMBER tokens, or be a member of their Creator program.
With some of the above criteria focused on people who have invested, this early access will also be the first step in making sure they're happy with how everything is going before they will be moving all of the $EMBER token and NFT transactions to the main net build. However, anything you earn or craft won’t carry over and it will all be reset on the Main Net, so don’t get too attached.
The team included an infographic that shows how this smaller prologue build will differ from the eventual full release, as well as an in-depth description of all of these features. In this Prologue Early Access, there will be visible titles, premium shop rewards, and the ability to earn global trading rewards on plots, along with collectible cosmetic skins and trading collectibles outside the game. You'll also be able to purchase $EMBER tokens and things like skins or emotes from the premium shop.
Bright Star also updates on work they’ve done since their last devblog, including the character creator, armor skins, cosmetics for the premium shop, and A list of notes detailing all of the work they've been putting in as well as a skin preview video.
