The first patch for Elyon went live today. Aside from bug fixes, when you log in, you will find some seasonal Halloween decor, some item changes, rewards if you pre-ordered, participated in beta, or bought packages. Since this is the first weekly maintenance patch for Elyon, that it is mostly cleanup, post-launch rewards, and fixes is no surprise.
It's Halloween, and even when a game just came out a few days ago, there's still time to celebrate in this final week. You’ll find some Halloween decor around both Vulpin and Ontari. Some new Halloween items and furniture were also added in this update. For those items, the Kakao Games team mentions in the patch notes that they’ll announce how to get them on the Elyon social media accounts.
Item changes this round, in many cases, were of the organizing kind. Things like price corrections and updates to icons to make them clearer. The Ruby Box now has different icons depending on the quantity in each box. The item shop and token exchange shop got some new boxes as well.
A series of rewards that were promised to players have also been awarded and put into the player inventory. These rewards were issued for a number of reasons, including pre-registration, participation in the closed beta, taking the closed beta survey, closed beta 2 character customization event or social media events. There has also been compensation issued in ruby amounts, promised to those who pre-ordered the game before the free-to-play announcement. Since purchase wasn't necessary anymore in order to play due to the pivot to a free-to-play model, those non-Steam players who were owed rubies should have received them. With Steam, there will be a delay in getting those rewards, but they’ll be there soon.
For more on the individual changes, see the patch notes on the Elyon site.
