When update 14 hit Elite Dangerous, Frontier heard from the community that there are several significant issues and they've announced that an interim update that will help several of these issues is coming “early in the new year”.
While there is no date set yet for this interim update, they'll be announcing more details after the holiday break in the new year. Some of the issues that they are addressing include crashes under certain circumstances, like when approaching a Thargold Barnacle site. Ammo can't be synthesized yet for the Enhanced AXmissile rack. Additionally, Mission Boards are not loading the way they should be, and many players are reporting their experiences on a regular basis with this particular issue.
Since it's already late December, the team compiled a list of the known issues that they are working to address, but again, an update won't be out until early in the year. AX conflict zones around bases aren't progressing. And when you try to use carrier management to jump to a location within a system map, you may get an error message that doesn't go away until you re-enter the menu. Additional issues affecting cooldowns or some things becoming invisible that shouldn't be, but if you look at these issues you can tell that they are significant.
Given the range and the depth of these issues, including crashes and items not appearing, the mission boards not loading, and other difficulties that the community keeps reporting about, it would not be surprising at all if we see at least partial fixes start rolling in next month. While the team already has all of these issues as a priority in internal investigation, we'll have to wait a little longer to know when they'll start to get fixed.
In the meantime, the holiday event is going on, there will be rewards for completing efforts in the event, including paint jobs. The event runs through January 5th, 2023.
