The Elder Scrolls Online console players can now jump into Update 45 and the Fallen Banners dungeon DLC.
The base game update overhauls to several older starter zones to bring them more in line with more recently added ones, like West Weald. Expect visual overhauls, terrain transitions, redone lighting, and the addition of props and other items to make things look more lived in. There are map improvements, and the default mount speed is now higher. Update 45 also adds some new tone-based response options in certain quests. adding some role-playing opportunities. Use a ruthless or flirty response, a merciful one, or perhaps kind or jokey.
Specific to console, this update also sets the foundation for eventual console add-on support. There's a way for add on developers to put the game into console mode even on PC so they can develop add-ons more easily. The full feature is coming to current gen consoles later this year.
Fallen Banners features two new dungeons, Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt. For now, the dungeon DLC is a timed exclusive for ESO Plus members. At the April 10th ESO Direct, we’ll learn more on how non-members can access it (for Crowns or otherwise).
