The Elder Scrolls Online team has restored access to the PTS after issues led to emergency downtime on both the North American live server and the PTS. Other issues followed, leading to the shop and account systems also being temporarily shut for maintenance. All services have been restored, but the team is now explaining the situation in more depth, including how some players will see rollbacks and compensation.
The issues began late on Monday. The PTS was taken down immediately, and after investigation into what was causing the issues on the test server, the team discovered, with the help of community reports, that there was an issue on the live server from the PTS bug. This meant the NA server was also taken down for maintenance, before being restored some time later. The PTS would take longer, going up last night.
Unfortunately, those players whose accounts were affected by the issues will have to be reset and rolled back to where they were on April 15th at 9:30 a.m Eastern Time. All other services are restored in full, those affected players still have their accounts temporarily locked.
In an update this morning, Community Manager Gina Bruno made some announcements on the issues. First, for those who have their accounts still temporarily locked, some of them will be unlocked later today. For the rest of those affected who need their accounts rolled back to the April 15th date, this will take more work and more time. The rollbacks require server downtime, so they're going to unlock all of those accounts at the same time, but the soonest they can do this is the end of this week.

Given the extended lack of access to their accounts, the team is sending those players a code so they can play the game on the live server or the PTS (on another account) if they would like to. There will be more compensation for those players to be announced over the next day or two.
Finally, due to the issues, ZeniMax is extending the Anniversary Jubilee event on PC by two days to April 25th at 9:59am EDT. This is for both NA and EU megaservers. All NA players will also get 200 Seals of Endeavor.
