In today's Blackwood preview stream, the ZeniMax Online Studios team announced that a new free play event for Elder Scrolls Online was kicking off. Better still it will be running for two weeks on every platform the MMO is currently available.
It should be noted that the free play event only includes the base version of The Elder Scrolls Online, as well as Morrowind's Vvardenfell. However, this is still 23 zones to explore as well as sets players on the path to continue their journey should they choose to buy the full game after the free event.
If you played in a previous free play event as well you'll be able to just pick up where you left off, no need to start a new adventure as you decide whether or not ZOS' Tamriel is worth your time.
During the event, ZeniMax will be selling the base game and last year's Greymoor chapter at up to 67% off, so for those who do decide to pick up the MMO after the event ends can do so on the cheap. Console players should also note buying the base game on the console of their choice will get them the upgraded version to the next-gen console...assuming you can find one.
The Elder Scrolls Online will be launching their next chapter, Blackwood, later this year. Check out the embed below for the preview event from today in case you missed it, which includes new information about the chapter, as well a s first glimpse at gameplay.
