The next chapter of ESO, titled Greymoor, has hit Xbox One and PS4 consoles today.
If you recall, the launch was delayed one day out of respect for the funeral services of George Floyd. The update, already out on PC for a couple of weeks, has not been without its share of issues.
Bad pings, missing textures, and much more were among the reported issues surrounding the PC launch. Zenimax Online Studios issued a series of hotfixes and downtime to address these issues. Additionally, Game Director Matt Firor issued a lengthy letter directly addressing the launch state of the game, and the steps the team is taking to rectify those issues,
“Thanks everyone. Seriously. We are doing the best we can under the circumstances, and we are very proud that we got Update 26 to launch only one week later than scheduled. Launch could have been smoother, but we will work hard to ensure that ESO is stable and fun for years to come. Stay safe and healthy, and wash your damn hands.”
The console launch may not be entirely smooth either. In fact, some folks have reported hitching on PS4 machines since the release on console earlier today. In case you miss it, be sure to check out our Greymoor review performed on PC.
