Zenimax outlined what Elder Scrolls Online players can expect in Greymoor’s version of Solitude.
In a recent post, Art Director C.J. Grebb first described Skyrim as a region in this particular time in Tamriel’s history,
“Players who no longer need the map to navigate Skyrim will do just fine. The geography is there and should be very familiar. However, it IS a much earlier time in Skyrim’s history, so there will be new paths, new caves, and new places to discover.”
If, for example, you played Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you will no doubt be familiar with the city of Solitude. The similarities between the 2011 game and ESO’s version of Solitude are supposed to be very close,
“Our European players can confirm that it’s not unusual for the streets and even buildings in long-lived cities to remain unchanged for centuries, and that’s what’s happened in Solitude. Nevertheless, expect to see a more ‘pure Nord’ version of Solitude in ESO.”
The post also touches on the geography, flora, and fauna of Skyrim, while also discussing the denizens of the province along with their culture. You can catch up on the full article here. And while you’re at it, check out our preview of Greymoor.
