The oft repeated mantra of “Git gud” familiar to players of FromSoftware’s Souls series has been softened a bit by From’s approach to its latest title, Elden Ring. Shadow of the Erdtree was a bit too difficult at launch, even for many of the most diehard fans of From’s games, so much so that the developer nerfed the game’s difficulty in a patch released shortly after the expansion’s release.
Well, things have gotten easier once again. Elden Ring’s latest game update, version 1.1.4, has made some adjustments to the expansion’s final encounter to take things down a notch for players. These changes include tweaks to the boss’s attack patterns and moveset and straight decreases in damage, stamina damage, and attack range for some of their attacks.
Outside of these difficulty changes, From has also made adjustments to PvP. A number of items, such as Backhand Blades, Spears’ dual wield attacks, and the Pata have had their damage vs. other players nerfed. Scattershot Throw, Discus Hurl, and Weed Cutter skills have also received a number of nerfs when it comes to PvP.
Plenty of tweaks were made in terms of general balance, too. For all the details, check out the full patch notes on the official Elden Ring website.
