Dungeonborne, a first-person PvPvE dungeon crawler that entered Early Access back in July 2024, is shutting down in May.
The team announced yesterday that the game would be pulled from Steam, new account registration and in-game purchases would be disabled today. You can still play if you have an account and you downloaded the game already, up until it shuts down completely on May 28th, at what time depending on your region.
A year ago, back in Steam Next Fest of February 2024, Steven put together a list of single-player and multiplayer RPGs to look out for, and one of them was Dungeonborne.
At the time, he wrote:
“With 7 classes to choose from, visceral first-person combat, and a lively auction house, there’s going to be a lot here to like in this PvPvE action-adventure RPG. Dungeonborne doesn’t have a release date as of yet, but the developers have stated that there is plenty more content on the way outside of the demo, including an arena, gameplay modifications and more.”
While the game entered Early Access back in July,They released a roadmap for season 1 back in late September, in addition to a preseason update that followed. It seems that this was the last time we heard anything before the closure announcement.
