Daybreak Games took part in an Extra Life campaign recently. Working with streamers encouraging donations to the campaign, and with a 100% matching donation by DGB, the company raised over $40,000 for the Rady Children's Hospital. One of the hospital's patients, 8-year-old Kellan Meehan and his two best buds joined DGB on November 2nd to participate in Game Day.
The $40K fundraising total for the Daybreak Games Extra Life team includes a 100 percent donation match by Daybreak Games, skyrocketing past the original $25K goal set by the team, consisting of game developers and game designers. This contribution from Daybreak Games has added to the more than $8M raised by Extra Life for the Children’s Miracle Network in 2018, more than $2M on Game Day alone.
