Just under a month away from its original release date, Dune: Awakening has pushed back its release date to June 10.

The statement explains that it has its ongoing Persistent Closed beta, including several channels for direct feedback for its testers such as Discord.

“Thanks to this process, we’ve concluded that with a bit more time to cook, we can act on a lot more of the feedback we know is important to our beta testers,” the Funcom devs said.

Right now, there’s both a press and creator beta alongside the continuing persistent beta that’s been ongoing since last year. On top of these, it seems they also want to start one more bigger large-scale beta before the launch.

Dune: Awakening is a beast of a game,” the statement continues. “This is multiplayer survival on a massive scale, and we’re making gameplay and technical strides not seen in the genre before. We want to make sure we stick the landing.”

Despite the news, the Dune: Awakening team encourages players to watch the combat overview stream today, which promises to be the first and biggest discussion of that gameplay aspect yet. It also seems they aren’t pulling their promise of a full-scale release when it does happen on June 10.
