The May dev diary for Dual Universe went up recently, as the team talked about planet redesign, the UI, and more.
The team continues to work on bugs, but touched on features being added to the upcoming beta. For example, an offline notification system is set to be implemented. These will display on the loading screen and can be filtered.
UI has been reworked, like the barter and talent UIs, to make things easier to navigate and manage. The result is a cleaner look, with user experience improvements. The hatch be introduced which will allow you to enter your craft vertically.
Planets are receiving a massive redesign. In fact, each planet and moon are being rebuilt one by one. This is being done procedurally and manually. This redesign touches on tectonic plates and biomes. Additionally, a host of new biomes are being added like savannahs, swamps, ice caps, and more.
In case you missed it, the Speeder is undergoing several changes in the game. These changes are meant to make the vehicle a better experience for first-time players. The actual controls, travel modes, and more were touched on.
