Now that Guardians of the Dream is out, and much of the World of Warcraft community is out there working to stop Fyrakk’s plans, Dragonflight will continue in the next update, Dragonflight: Seeds of Renewal.
Blizzard has unveiled the first details about the next content update, which will feature new campaign chapters, a new public event, more Dragonriding content, and followerdungeons. If you haven’t already inferred from the title, this is the stage of renewal and healing from all of what came before, and this means a lot of newness.
New campaign chapters will take up the aftermath and state of the dragonflights and Dragon Isles in new epilogues. See how it all culminates and what this means for the rest of the world.
One thing we do know about that aftermath: Dragonriding will be going worldwide. Unfortunately, this only applies to Azeroth and not the real world, but you will be able to ride all around the older contents where flying is available. Get ready to take to the skies in familiar locations all around.
Sit around to hear some stories and participate in solo or group activities within Traitor’s Rest when the Azerothian Archives public event arrives. This event will let everyone “discover the buried history of Azeroth and the Dragon Isles”.
Something many have been hoping for looks to be on the way, with the ability to help King Greymane retake Gilneas.
Another new feature on the way is follower dungeons. You'll be able to take on dungeons with AI companions, similar to Final Fantasy XIV’s Duty Support option. NPC companions will be available for all eight Dragonflight dungeons on Normal difficulty. Take 1-4 of these NPCs with you on your way to take on the dungeons, get rewarded, and maybe learn a few things. You'll be able to customize your party too.
Speaking of customization, prepare for new hair colors for trolls and new customization options for Draenei, Warlock Tyrant, and Darkglare demons.
