Dragonflight Season 4 is now on the PTR, giving the option to help test the new update, including some major dungeon changes, new gear upgrade track, and what’s coming in the new PvP season.
As World of Warcraft moves towards its next chapter later this year with The War Within, Dragonflight still has a few surprises to offer. Recently, the team announced overhauls to dungeons, intended to increase options, sustain dungeon participation, and to offer a path to rewards without time pressure. The changes also include adjustments to rewards, and an aim to refine the progression curve to feel more rewarding in the Season 4 PTR, you can test out all eight Dragonflight dungeons under the new system.
The new gear upgrade track, Awakened, is also in the test build, letting you take a shot at all three Awakened Dragonflight raids on Normal difficulty to get a new flying mount, the Voyaging Wildering. Then, complete the Dragonriding Awakened raids on Heroic for a new title: The Awakened. Finally, if you earn the Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season 4, you can add the Infinite Armoredon mount to your collection. You can opt to purchase new rewards instead if you get the new currency, Antique Bronze Bullion.
That Dragonflight is winding down is not all though, since the update will bring new rewards in both PvP and PvE content. Do the Dragonflight Awakened raids on Mythic, and get Path portals to the three raids, Path of the Primal Prison (Vault of the Incarnates), Path of the Bitter Legacy (Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible), and Path of the Scorching Dream (Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope). Legendary items will drop from raids, but if you got them prior to Season 4, you can upgrade your items by purchasing a Scale of Awakening to upgrade them to Season 4 levels.
Finally, there’s a new PvP season on the way. With the rankings reset, there will be new achievements to earn, titles, two new mounts, and some new gear sets.
but there seems to be no shortage of surprises, changes, and stuff to do on the way.
