In a report by Siliconera (via VG247), it looks like Dragon Quest Builders 2 will receive a free update soon.
According to a Square Enix Japanese live stream, a number of quality of life improvements are on the way, in addition to cosmetics like new hairstyles, a new epilogue storyline, and more save files. It looks like this update will arrive in Japan on August 20.
Additionally, the Modernist Pack DLC is already available and brings with it over 70 recipes.
