Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero’s sales are going Super Saiyan. Bandai Namco has reported that the new Dragon Ball Z fighter has sold three million copies just 24 hours since its release.

Sparking! Zero is the latest sequel to the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series of fighting games released between 2005 and 2007. The series went by the Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! nomenclature in Japan, so if you’re a bit confused, Bandai Namco has just unified the naming for the latest sequel, its first in 17 years.

It’s no surprise that sales have been so strong for Sparking! Zero. The Budokai Tenkaichi series has been beloved by DBZ fans for many years now and the game was looking to be a surefire hit for Bandai Namco when it cruised past 90K concurrent users on Steam during its $100 early access period and almost reached free to play fighter MultiVersus’ peak concurrent users shortly after launch.

The game is purchasable in three editions, the base edition, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions. The latter two editions include the Season Pass, while the Ultimate also adds an Ultimate Upgrade Pack and the bonus ability to summon Super Shenron.

Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Zero is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
