Dragon Age: The Veilguard's PC features and, surprisingly, its entire graphics options menu were revealed today ahead of its October 31st launch.
In a new blogpost, BioWare expanded on what PC players can expect when they hop into The Veilguard later this Fall, from how its PC version will handle to the very PC-specific graphics goodies players can use when exploring the latest Dragon Age game.
For starters, BioWare have detailed a bit about their approach to UI and controls, stating that they have worked hard to ensure that they are a "good experience" on both keyboard and mouse, as well as controller.
"We wanted to ensure the controls and UI are a good experience for both KBM and controllers; so we did close to 10,000 hours of user research testing to make sure of it. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature native support for PS5 DualSense controllers with haptics support in addition to the standard of Xbox controllers & keyboard + mouse."
BioWare also mentions that you can have class-specific control schemes, using the example of a separate way to control Rogue Rook or Warrior Rook, allowing for some incredible nuance in how you play your character.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will also feature full 21:9 support (What about us 32:9 users, BioWare?), full HDR support, uncapped framerates, and even a way to remove the cinematic black bars in cutscenes. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is also already Steam Deck Verified, and support Steam Cloud Saves so players can bounce between their PC and Deck without skipping a beat.
Dragon Age will also support all three major upscaling methods: AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.2 (which they note has been "heavily modified"), Nvidia's DLSS 3 with Frame Generation, as well as Intel's XeSS. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will also launch with ray tracing on PC (though no word on console versions getting this, as far as I can tell) with an Ultra RT preset.
You can check out the full graphics settings list on the blogpost. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will launch on PC, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 on October 31st.
