Dosa Awakening Comes to Black Desert Online October 8th, With New Elemental Effects to Enhance Your Combos

Pearl Abyss has announced that Black Desert Online will add the Dosa Awakening class on October 8th. Prepare to strike, close gaps, and unleash stratgic and powerful elemental effects to fuel your victory.

The original Dosa class, which just made it over to Black Desert Console this week, is already one where combinations are key. He uses his sword to strike, and a special pipe to do things like summon spectral warriors and create fog to obscure the battlefield. For Dosa Awakening, the team leans into Dosa’s hybrid combat style and effects that he can produce, and  takes inspiration from the philosophy of five elements - fire, water, wood, metal, and earth. 

For Dosa Awakening, they've decided to use those elements to take further advantage of the combos and the hybrid style already inherent to the base class. These elements can enhance and amplify each other, following what they call the “generative effect” belief from East Asian philosophy. An example given is if you use a fire effect and then you follow that with a wood effect, it will fuel the fire effect creating greater fire damage, because you're literally adding wood to a fire. so this offers up a number of new strategic opportunities to experiment with and use to your advantage.

All this for a class that is also good at closing gaps and striking then getting out to maintain control over a fight.

Pearl Abyss released a skills showcase so you can see Dosa Awakening in action and even compare to the base class. The developer commentary on the upcoming update also touches on the new class, as well as Node Wars updates to come, and more Land of the Morning Light - Seoul content on the way.
