The Overwatch blog has a new "report", a fictionalized news item, that once again raises the specter of Doomfist. The new post reveals that Talon, the organization headed by Reaper, has broken "Akande Ogundimu", aka Doomfist, out of prison. The owner of the Doomfist weapon takes on the nickname.
After escaping from the facility, Helix lost track of Ogundimu until he resurfaced in Numbani, where he clashed with the newly introduced OR15 defense robots at the Adawe International Terminal, easily destroying them and reclaiming the Doomfist.
This is not the first time that the name Doomfist has cropped up on Overwatch fiction. In fact, the nickname has been attacked to two others: Adhabu "The Savior" Ngumi and Akinuide "The Scourge" Adeyemi. The artwork shows that the third incarnation will be called "The Successor".
