Dofus Touch, Ankama Games’ tactical mobile MMORPG, relaunches today with a new English server, improvements, UI updates, and an expanded early game.

Originally released in 2016, the game brings Dofus, Ankama’s tactical MMORPG (originally released in English back in 2005) to mobile in a new way. Now on mobile, you can explore the World of Twelve to meet new peoples, learn about the mysterious dragon eggs, and uncover some deep lore and secrets.

You get to choose from 15 original playable character classes, each Ankama’s colorful twist on some typical fantasy classes. These include the Iops, sword-wielding warrior/paladin types, Osamodas, imp-like summoners, who also support with hammers, and Xelors, who resemble mummies, are also known to use hammers, and control time (and enemies). These are just a few of the options.

If you’ve never played Dofus, you might take a look at the stylized anime-meets Western cartoon inspired character classes in the world and not guess at the depth the game has. The team promises more than 10,000 maps are included in this release, with thousands of quests, and more than 70 dungeons to take on. Of course, there are many mobs to discover and slay, people to meet in your travels, and loot.

Dofus Touch also features the strategic, turn-based combat of the original. Team up with others on the go this time to coordinate some powerful combos.

The colorful characters, memorable classes, and turn-based combat were key to the original success of Dofus on PC, but also spawned the later release of Wakfu, and the Wakfu animated series, and more recently, related to Ankama’s latest, Waven.

Dofus Touch is out now on iOS and Android, releasing as  free to play with extras, like cosmetics, and optional services for purchase.
