Dive into the Setting, Lore, and Major Players in V Rising's Invaders of Oakveil Update Before Monday's Launch

V Rising’s big Invaders of Oakveil update is coming Monday, and Stunlock Studios is preparing us with a dive into the setting, Megara the Serpent Queen, the Oakveil Woods, and the Venom Blades. 

Somewhere in the northwest of Vardoran is Oakveil, a place where nature has been unbothered except in the time of Dracula's quest for power. That was centuries ago, and things have changed. Where there was once peaceful, untouched nature, the Oakveil Woodlands are now being consumed by corruption since Megara showed up and took power via powerful black magic.

The Venom Blades are those faithful to her, her subjects and minions. “Serve at the pleasure of the Serpent Queen,” is the rule,  and beyond that no cruelty or fighting or treachery is forbidden, but  encouraged.  She grows her ranks with those that prove themselves worthy. You'll face the Venom Blades and discover some secrets, including Venom Sap, which will offer all new powerful advantages.

Invaders of Oakveil will have you meet new characters, face the growing blight and Megara, who is  showing her ambitious desire for even more power. The update will also offer new weapons and spells, new mechanics, overhauled combat and new stat systems, upgraded Alchemy, and more ways to customize your vampire.
