Arkane Studios was in attendance at The Game Awards to announce a new project, but no one could have guessed what that announcement would turn out to be. It wasn’t Dishonored 3, or Deathloop 2, and it certainly wasn't a sequel to Redfall. Instead, Arkane announced that they’ve partnered with Marvel to develop a new game centered on everyone’s favorite daywalker, Blade.
In Marvel’s Blade, which is a third-person single player action game, players will play as Blade aka Eric Brooks, and take on a quarantined Paris overrun by vampires. The game will feature an original narrative and not draw from any particular story in the Marvel Comics (or film) universe.
The trailer shown at The Game Awards was short and sweet, focusing in on Blade’s face (and teeth!) before cutting to a wider shot to fully reveal the character and thus the game.
No release date or even platforms (besides Xbox, given that Microsoft own’s Bethesda, Arkane’s parent company) have been announced, but stay tuned here as we’ll bring news to you as soon as we have anything new to sink our teeth into.
