Update 43 for The Elder Scrolls Online base game is now live on PC and Mac. The update introduces the Home Tours feature, major updates to the Infinite Archive, new class item sets, collectibles, furnishings, and more.
Home Tours arrive to let those dedicated to making their homes impressive show off the results of their efforts. You can submit your home for touring, and browse a list of recommended homes if you're not sure where to start. You can also personally recommend up to 10 homes every week, which will influence the recommended section. You'll also be able to favorite up to 100 homes that you like, tag your own listings with up to three tags, and be able to filter by tags as well.
If you are listing your own homes as open for tourists, you can set a custom nickname, and pick three descriptive tags that others can use to browse or filter by. You can list as many homes as you have, and you can change these descriptions when you need to. Maybe since Halloween is coming, you'll want to decorate accordingly and use a Halloween tag and maybe a spooky tag and maybe once the holiday is over, you'll pick something else.
To go along with the home tours feature, there are also two new homes to acquire, and new furnishings, including 28 new Furnishing plans, new Master Writ furnishings, and a practical Scribing Altar, which allows for at-home scribing.
The Infinite Archive also gets major updates. The dungeon gets two new arenas, and you'll have to figure out the mechanics for each. One is icy, and one is fiery. There are 10 new bosses to encounter, eight new Verses, 10 new Visions, and a new avatar. New Marauders enter the fray, along with new Fabled monsters.
You may encounter Esalinwe, a tragic Altmer who perished inside the archive and is now back for revenge, with two optional daily quests targeting Fabled/Marauder maligraphies. From here you can earn the new mystery versus scroll that you can use to transform you into an avatar.
The update adds seven new item sets and other new rewards to collect.
