This year’s Warframe Quest to Conquer Cancer campaign will see a $295,000 CAD donation to a cancer center, with over $148,000 CAD brought in from donations alone, according to a post from Digital Extremes.
The annual charity event goes towards the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, a Toronto-based internationally-renowned cancer center for research, education, and clinical care for cancer patients.
The month-long campaign combined direct donations and purchases of special exclusive real-life items, including a tee, desk mat, and plushie; the tee generated over $37,000 CAD, and the other merch brought in over $69,000. In addition, Digital Extremes chipped in its own $40,000 CAD donation.
The total of all these revenue streams brought in $295,985 CAD for the charity.
As a thanks for all fans, Digital Extremes has unlocked a flurry of rewards for Warframe players to claim through codes, by logging in, and by finishing small quests. These include Glyphs and a new Display by community artist OHHONO, who was also responsible for the Conquera desk mat sold to raise funds. The team also shared some neat concept art as part of its stretch goals, as well as a preview video of voice lines from the Arthur Gemini Skin.
All claimable rewards, regardless of whether they were released during the campaign or after, are time-sensitive, so be sure to see what's available and get it now if you’re interested.
The charity tee, still available at the moment on the site, commemorates the late former Art Director Michael “Mynki” Brennan with a lovely, simplistic drawing.
