The Diablo 4 team detailed what is coming in patch 1.1.1, which they also revealed will arrive on August 8th.

In keeping with the promise of transparency, the patch notes will be released on August 2nd  to give everyone time to peruse the notes and prepare themselves for any potential changes that might affect their builds or enjoyment of the game.

As for what's coming in the past, the Sorcerer and Barbarian are getting a lot of attention. Both of these classes are getting much needed boosts.  Lead class designer Adam Jackson acknowledges that Sorcerers have a really tough time when they start leveling and getting into Nightmare dungeons.

What they're planning to do is to be working to increase survivability, particularly in late game. The Sorcerer should be a glass cannon, but has often been getting steamrolled in later tiers and levels, starting after a series of nerfs that happened around launch time.

Barbarians are also going to get some help, especially in the early game experience with improvements to Fury generation, Skills like Bash, Flay, Lunging Strike, and Frenzy will see increased Fury, and other skills will get increased damage.  late game experience will also get some improvements.

Jackson also brought up an occurrence where a class might get a really cool power or an enhanced effect, only to have something else taken away or nerfed as a cautious balance change. In a recent stream the team said that they are looking to make sure that there's an appealing alternative if they're going to make a big balance change, so this is part of that.

Those two classes are not the only ones that will get updates in 1.1.1, but they are the two that need the most attention and will be getting it. The team wants build options to grow and change, looking to broaden choices, while making sure that functional builds are not stuck in one particular meta.

The patch will also contains some quality of life changes, including reversing  the change made that  increased the time to teleport out of a dungeon from 3 seconds to 5 seconds.  Look for Treasure Goblins to also get an improvement. From level 15 on, they are guaranteed to drop a Legendary when this patch is live.

We can expect the full patch notes to be updated here on August 2nd, in order to give the community some time to really take in what's on the way.
