Diablo Immortal is detailing the Season 24 Battle Pass, and a new content update this week, with quality of life changes, a new Gem splitting feature, and new and returning events.

Season 24: Regent of Webs, is the new Battle Pass that will begin on March 14th. Starting next week, take on 40 ranks in the free or the Empowered premium pass, to get rewards like Crests, gems, and even some spidery-themed cosmetics. In a new teaser for those cosmetics, we see the arachnid influence and detailing across gear.

A new event is on the way, Infernal Hunger. The new limited time event will begin on March 20th. If you are level 30 or above and you participate in the event, doing so will actually give you a preview of some of what's to come in the next major content update. Returning events this time around include All Clans on Deck, Hungering Moon, and Shady Stock.

The update will also introduce new quality of life changes. Helliquary Raid death screens will get an important update. The new death screen will tell you when all players  have died and there are no more Resurrection Stones. At that point a screen will show “the raid was defeated”  and your only option is to hit the exit button. The character customization reset cooldown will be reduced to one day to increase ability to customize your characters. Another change will apply to class matching, ensuring more balanced melee and ranged class distribution.

A new feature is also on the way. Gem Splitting Is what it sounds like, in that you can take a normal Gem and break it into multiple gems of the same type, at lower ranks. For this, the gems you split have to be above rank 1. Because bracelets mean there are more gem slots to fill, now you will have the option to split some gems (limit three splits a week) to create some lower ranked gems to fill them.

The team is also adding improved search functionality for Clans and Warbands so you can find new groups to join, based on member progression, activity, how they match with the type of content you do the most, and more criteria.

The update will be live globally by Wednesday, March 6th.
