Diablo Immortal’s second major update, Terror’s Tide, is coming, and the dev team has released a look at just what’s in it, from additional Hell difficulties, to improved dailies, a new system to help players catch up, and a brand new zone, Stormpoint. There will also be a holiday event and a new Helliquary boss.

This is a huge update, and top to bottom, it is packed with content and improvements to a number of systems. Many of these are based on player feedback. Legendary and set items weren't really dropping enough, so now they’ll be integrated into both possible and guaranteed drops from dailies.

Stormpoint is the brand new post-launch zone and questline. To travel there, you’ll have to be at least level 60, and Hell Difficulty III. The skies are filled with lightning and you’ll have to beware of the behemoth Howling Terror, And there will be 20 new monsters, bosses, mini-bosses, and a horde of crabs. There's a new dev video all about Terror’s Tide that gives a peek into what to expect.

As teased in a recent community Q&A, Diablo Immortal is also getting a new system to help players catch up to others on the server. This is especially useful with Stormpoint arriving. Server Paragon Level will be reset to 320 if they’re not already above that, and players with a level below 320 will get two perks. The first is doubled XP rewards, from 400% to 800% for being below Server Paragon level. Finally, there’s a dynamic bonus that starts by adding +250% to drop rates for Legendary and Set items, with that bonus shrinking the closer to Paragon level you get.

The Voidwound Helliquary also arrives in the update, along with some changes to raids. If you want the solo these raids across all difficulties, that will become available. With each Hell Difficulty, each boss will get harder, so teaming up is important. Terror’s Tide increases the available difficulty levels to include VI, VII, and VIII.

For more on the extremely packed update, which arrives after downtime starting on December 14th at 12 AM - 2 AM PST in the Americas, head to Diablo Immortal.
