Diablo Immortal unveils a new mode, the Helliquary Gauntlet in its latest update. The update also makes two changes to raids, adjusts class and item balance, starts events, and previews the new Season Battle Pass.

The Helliquary Gauntlet is a new mode that will let you test your own speed and skills, while also potentially notching a spot on the server leaderboard. As long as you've reached Hell Difficulty VIII and defeated Catarag and Strangling Sun, then you can take on this challenge any time you’d like. The purpose is to take on every Helliquary boss as fast as you can. That’s it. On first clear, you’ll also earn random set items, Legendary items, some Demonic Remains, and more. Yet, you can keep trying the challenge to see if you can get better times and a spot higher up on the leaderboard, for glory and maybe a permanent reward.

As for Helliquary Raids, there are a couple of changes. First, if a player dies more than once during these raids, resurrecting them will come with an increasing cooldown. Also, you’ll have to look out for a periodic damaging pulse from the bosses after they enrage. This will scale in damage each time it happens. So come well equipped.

Season 13’s Battle Pass, Knights Penitent, will run from May 11th through June 8th and feature 40 Ranks to unlock and grab some cosmetics and rewards.

Class balance changes now mean that the Hunter, Necromancer, and Wizard have a 15% incoming damage reduction. There are also a series of skill and affix tweaks. A few quality of life additions are also on the way, including rarity frames in the cosmetic inventory display tab, an updated activity calendar, and the ability to view cosmetics equipped on others.

Accursed Towers is still seeking its sweet spot, and the Diablo Immortal team is replacing the PvP damage bonus and increasing the pickup radius of Cursed Shards in PvE. Battlegrounds queue leavers will now face tougher penalties. The team had originally applied a penalty and this reduced the occurrence, but they felt it wasn’t enough.

The Fractured Plane is back, with its 15-floor gauntlet where you compete without your usual gear, relying on unstable Legendary gear drops as you clear levels and Chaos Coins to help you patch together a build to let you succeed.

The patch goes live on Wednesday. See the notes for full details at Diablo Immortal.
