Diablo Immortal’s next update, Tidelost Glory, is dropping this week. The update brings server merges, the Season 28 Battle Pass, a new cosmetics gallery feature, new tools, rune changes, and events.
With this week's update, which will be live globally on Wednesday, June 26th, Diablo Immortal will get another round of server merges. As with previous server merges, these are being done to ensure stable enough populations to party with. The full list of servers to merge is available, but the idea looks to be a smooth transition if you’re on one of them. The merge will happen at 1:00 a.m. server time following the maintenance and the update going live.
This week's update is a pretty practical affair. The new Cosmetic Gallery feature not only lets you keep track of every cosmetic you’ve added to your collection, it also lets you preview every available cosmetic on the server. Another improvement in this update is a new Shadow War management tool. Clan leaders and officers can use the tool to arrange who's going to participate in the Shadow War starting up to a week in advance of the match. This should give folks plenty of time to prepare and be sure to be available at the given time.
Battleground Rank changes should also help. If you reach a Major rank, then suffer some losses, you will not drop to a lower rank as long as the season is live. You’ll stay in that tier and have a chance to rise back up again before the season ends.
After the last update’s addition of new runes and two new modes, Erebban Castle and the Abyssal Verge, it seems that the drop rates on runes and Abyssal Essence needed a boost. They get it this time, with continues tweaks possible, and the intention to “make sure these two new game modes are the most potent source to earn and craft Runes”.
A series of returning events are rolling out in this update frame, including Fractured Plane, Conqueror, Wild Brawl, and Hungering Moon.
