Diablo Immortal is Getting Weekend PvP Events and Improved Matchmaking

The Diablo Immortal team teased some upcoming weekend-only PvP events on the way, along with improved matchmaking. 

There's no official announcement on details for this update, but the team shared the teaser on social over the weekend, saying just:

“Weekdays are for work, weekends are for play.

More fun and better matchmaking are coming with our new weekend-only PvP events. Play now!”

That’s the tweet. 

Seems like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for info on how these weekend events will work and when they’ll start. When it comes to matchmaking, what classifies as “fun and better” also hasn’t been revealed yet, but Diablo Immortal has tweaked matchmaking a number of times in the past, adding things like an improved search functionality for Clans and Warbands, added Helliquary raid matchmaking, and even did some cleanup when it came to Battleground queue dodgers. Diablo Immortal has also merged servers in ways that made matchmaking easier by providing access to cross server populations. 

For the PvPers, and for those who love collecting glory and shinies, stay tuned. Seems like the Diablo Immortal team is about to introduce some especially limited limited-time events. IIt wouldn’t be Diablo without some bonuses and loot, so look for that too.
