The Diablo Immortal team’s latest developer Q&A has members from Blizzard and Netease pick questions from the community to answer. This month’s answers cover a range of content and concerns, from catching up if you’ve fallen behind, content updates to come, appearance changes, and more.

One of the first topics covered was content updates and while the team has mentioned that there will be something big coming in December, the next major content update has now been dated for December 14th.

The update will include a brand new zone called Stormpoint, a new questline, more places to farm, zone events, and bounties. It will also improve the set item collecting experience, and introduce a facial re-customization option, and let you hide helmets, by popular request.

The team expects to continue providing content updates roughly every two weeks with bigger updates at longer intervals.

Another question was about catching up if you've fallen behind. We all get busy sometimes and sometimes we slow down our progress in our favorite games, and this person mentioned that, after a break, “most of the players on my server are Hell Level five while I am still in Hell Level three. It’s really hard to find a dungeon party”.

Diablo Immortal got some server merges that effectively converted several servers into megaservers to increase available population for grouping. This is only one of the improvements cited by the devs though, and the answer teases upcoming features that are designed to help people to catch up.

“This includes increasing the experience boost if you're significantly behind Server Paragon Level and exploring ways for players who are behind to raise their Combat Rating by increasing the rate at which they receive Legendary and Set items.”

The December 14th update is the next major one though, and this one will have another feature to help players keep a good pace. In response to a question about why taking on Helliquary bosses required waiting until enough players were present, delaying the fights, The team said that the upcoming patch will include an option where you can change the raid Target boss without exiting the raid so you can take on multiple bosses.
