Diablo II: Resurrected is still seeing server issues, several weeks after launch. Blizzard is reporting additional login issues and outages today and is asking for patience while the team works to fix the latest round as best and as soon as possible.
"We continue working to resolve the login issues in #D2R as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by today's outages," reads one Blizzard CS tweet. While issues are common to big titles, Diablo II: Resurrection has been seeing them since day one, with some players reporting today that they've been kicked out while farming or doing other tasks.
Yesterday, there was another apology for login issues, with CS pointing to the authentication servers. Last night, CS announced that the issue was resolved, only for further login issues to be hobbling the servers today. This cycle is unfortunately a back and forth that has been happening since launch, and affecting players globally. The Blizzard EU CS announced that there will be an update on the issues soon.
The launch for Diablo II: Resurrected has been up and down with these login issues. There's no word on a suspected source of today's login issues or what potential trouble any downtime will cause, but in previous weeks, players were reporting missing progression, and other frustrating issues.
Diablo II: Resurrected, which was developed by Vicarious Visions, is intended to be an update that blends what people loved about the original, along with new updates, quality of life features, cross-play, and more accessible features. The range of issues, from missing progression to characters getting locked up as already on a server when they’re not, have been frustrating
