Diablo Anniversary Almost Here, Darkening of Tristram Starts January 3

Diablo’s anniversary is almost upon us as is the Darkening of Tristram event. Here are some details.

You’ll be charged with hunting down cultists in Sanctuary in Adventure Mode. You’ll slowly uncover clues about the past which will lead you to the Cathedral. You’ll definitely want to check this out as you face off against several enemies while the Dark Lord awaits.

Loot will be present, of course. This wouldn’t be Diablo without it. Loot during the event includes unique transmogrification effects, achievements, portraits, pets, and more. The cultists will show up on December 31 at 4p PST. The portal for the event’s start will open on January 3. Everything finally concludes on January 31 at 4p PST.
