Diablo 4’s 2.0 update is now live on the game’s Public Test Realm and players have uncovered some interesting new details in the update, including the theme for Season 6.
According to details uncovered by Wowhead, Diablo 4’s Season 6 will be titled the Season of Hatred and will see players fight creatures corrupted by Mephisto’s hatred and slay Realmwalkers to gain entry to Hell Portals. Players brave enough to delve into these Hell Portals will be rewarded with as yet undetailed “powerful buffs.”
Some other fun surprises on the PTR include the addition of a variety of new hairstyles and dyes for character customization. The game has been sorely lacking in both areas, though Blizzard has trickled in some additional hairstyles over the past year. Hopefully we’ll get some new faces at some point as well.
The 2.0 update overall makes some massive changes to Diablo 4, with a rework of leveling and a new level cap of 60, new base and endgame difficulty levels, new skills and passive trees for existing classes, and the re-introduction of Runewords. Grouping for activities will also be easier in 2.0 with the game’s new Party Finder feature.
Diablo 4’s 2.0 update will be available on the Public Test Realm on PC through September 11.
